Announcing…
the Artist Legal Cafe!

A cross-sector collaboration between Movement Law,
the Sustainable Economies Law Center, and
Vital Arts,
the Artist Legal Cafe is an artist-led initiative
that offers direct services and capacity-building support
to individual artists, artist collectives, and arts organizations.

Each Artist Legal Cafe will provide
one-on-one support with licensed attorneys, solidarity economy experts, and cultural workers on a wide range of topics.

The Cafe takes a community-based, holistic approach to building artist power.

The September Legal Cafe (Sept 11) will be ONLINE,
starting with a free training 3-3:30 PM PST on Mutual Aid led by attorney Michael Haber of Brooklyn Law School,
followed by the Legal Cafe 3:30-5, where artists can sit down 1:1 with attorneys.

The October Legal Cafe (October 30) will be IN PERSON at Local Economy in Oakland, 3-5 PM.
